Windows 11 introduced a Mac-Like change which put your start button and aligned the taskbar to the center. While this is off putting you can fix it.

Fix It with CL Debloat
- Download CL Debloat here.
- Click Downloads in your Browser (Ctrl +J will open the downloads directly) and click the “CLDebloatSetup.exe” file and follow the prompt.
- Once installed click the CL Debloat icon on the desktop.
- Under the Visual tab, check the “Align Taskbar Left” box and click Apply.
That’s it! Your Task bar will not be aligned to the left like in Windows 10!.
Fix It with Windows 11 Settings
- Right-click on an empty space on the taskbar
- Select Taskbar settings
- Scroll down to Taskbar Behaviors
- Change Taskbar Alignment to Left.
Fix It with Registry Editor
- Click on Search (or Start) of Windows and, “regedit” and select the Register Editor.
- In the top left of the Registry Editor navigate to the following
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\
- Right-click the Advanced folder, select to New and choose DWORD (32-bit) Value.
- Name the key “TaskbarAl” (this is a lower case L for Alignment) and press enter.
The default value for your new key will be “0” which will change the Taskbar Alignment to the left.

How to Restore the Taskbar Alignment with CL Debloat
Using CL Debloat you can easily undo this:
- Launch CL Debloat and select the Visual Tab
- Uncheck the “Align Taskbar Left” option and click Apply.
The task bar icons will now be restored to the center.
How to Restore the Taskbar Using Other Methods
Method 1: You can restore the Taskbar alignment directly in Windows 11 settings using the following steps:
- Right-click on an empty space on the taskbar
- Select Taskbar settings
- Scroll down to Taskbar Behaviors
- Change Taskbar Alignment to Center.
The task bar icons will now be restored to the center.
Method 2: You can restore the Taskbar Alignment with the Registry Editor as well:
- Click on Search (or Start) of Windows and, “regedit” and select the Register Editor.
- In the top left of the Registry Editor navigate to the following
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\
- Edit the key “TaskbarAl” key and change the “0” to a “1”.
This will change the Taskbar Alignment back to the center.
